It's Festival time!
From Tuesday, August 20 - Saturday, August 24, the 2013 Chicago Dancing Festival will present eleven exceptional dance companies for five breathtaking performances as part of one world class festival - free for you!
Look for Festival newcomers Ensemble Español, Natya Dance Theatre and Philadanco, with visiting companies Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Brian Brooks Moving Company, Camille A. Brown and Lar Lubovitch Dance Company with Chicago's own Chicago Human Rhythm Project, Giordano Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and The Joffrey Ballet!
We hope you noticed that this blog comes to you from our brand new website with our new logo! We have been hard at work to bring you a new site that will provide you with lots of exciting Festival details now, with more to come as we head into the Festival season.
And speaking of more to come, as seen in this 2012 photo of After School Matters, these incredibly talented teens gathered around after a rehearsal to give us their Twitter handles to stay up to date on the Festival happenings! So, "like" them, we invite you to "follow" their example! #CDF
